For awhile now, I’ve been debating whether or not to close jbytes.us and register a new domain or keep jbytes.us and continue using it as my collective/projects domain. This debate and decision wasn’t an easy one to say the least; however, on December 23rd, 2017, I finally made that decision and decided that it was time to let go of my domain Jbytes.us and register a new one due to feeling that jbytes.us just did not allow me enough freedom to actually call it a collective, project domain, or playground, or what have you. I registered jbytes.us simply because jbytes was a nickname that Tristan gave me while we were both participating in the computer science club at our college. I honestly believed that it would be a great domain name for either a resume, a projects page (collective/network type of domain), or something else. As time progressed, my feelings about owning the domain name were becoming indifferent. In other words, I wasn’t really feeling it to be that domain that I am looking to house my various projects. Naturally, I’ve discussed this issue with my hostess Jessica and some others and they’ve all felt the same that they liked the domain name, and at the time I did as well and thought maybe I can overcome these feelings and just use it anyways. However, it didn’t last very long. I just couldn’t force myself to make it my projects domain or a domain that housed my various projects.

On December 23, 2017 (as stated above), I made the decision to close jbytes.us and register Astralis.site, which I am more than happy with to be able to call it my network or playground that allows me to house my various projects. Some of you might believe it to be a collective like those in reference to amassment, but it’s far from a collective. It’s just a domain that allows me more freedom and room to work with whereas the other jbytes.us simply just felt as if it could be a resume of some sort, and to be quite Frank with you all, I did not want that, whatsoever. I’m happy to announce that Astralis.site is finally up and running and with an awesome theme to boot.
